1981 to 1989

State Government Service

Joined and served in State Government service as Medical & Health Officer -1 and subsequently promoted in other capacities/ designations, serving both in rural and urban areas.

1989 to 2001

Mahendra Mohan Choudhury Hospital (MMCH)

Joined and served in the Mahendra Mohan Choudhury Hospital (MMCH), a State Hospital, in the Department of ENT.

2001

NEMCARE Hospital

Founder member of NEMCARE Hospital. Joined NEMCARE Hospital as Senior ENT Consultant Surgeon . Was even otherwise actively practicing as an independent surgeon and consultant since 2001 in NEMCARE Hospital doing all sorts of ENT, neck surgeries and also endoscopic, micro and coblation surgeries regularly. Apart from that I am also experienced in Fibreoptic Endoscopic diagnostic procedures and in some therapeutic endeavours.

2001

Audiometric Setup

Actively associated with the establishment of the Audiometric Setup at NEMCARE Hospital.

2005

Endoscopy Setup

Actively associated with the Endoscopy Setup at NEMCARE Hospital.

2017

Allergic Clinic Setup

Actively associated with the establishment of the Allergic Clinic Setup at NEMCARE Hospital.

2024

Vertigo Clinic

Recently started a vertigo clinic at NEMCARE Hospital along with Neurologists.

Academic Experience

Successfully presented papers at National and State level Conferences on several occasions in the last 30- 35 years and have medical/ scientific articles published in journals and magazines.

Organised Microsurgery Workshop on Ear, conducted by Dr. Barin Kumar Roychoudhury.

Organised a Workshop by Dr. Anirban Biswas on Vertigo.

Supervised for 5 years a Workshop on Rhinoplasty, done by Dr, Jasveer Singh,New Delhi.

Supervised Workshop and Continuing Medical Education (CME) on Coblation technology, led by Dr.Tushar Kanti Ghose, Kolkata.

Organised a CME on Head and Neck, done by Dr. Pradul Hazarika, former HoD, Kasturba Medical College, Manipal.

Other Experiences

Presently working as President in the Skill development field, under the aegis of NEMCARE Group of Institutions, where I am primarily concerned with the upgradation of skill-sets of OT Technicians, Dialysis Technicians, X-Ray & Imaging Technology, General Duty Assistants, Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), Hospital Executives, AHA certified ACLS & BLS Training etc. and helping them cope with challenges of modern day medicine. Some of the Programmes are recognize by the IMA and some are sponsored/funded by the Skill Development.

Involved in the DFCA under the guidance of Dr. Arvind Kumar, Robotics Thorasic Surgeon, Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, and actively associated with various implementation programmes for promotion of clean, pollution-free air in urban spaces, especially in the North Eastern Region of India.
